Cranked Forks

Cranked forks are essentially the same as Offset Forks. the shank of the fork is angled in or out depending upon the application. With the forks angled in, there is better visibility through the center creating an unobstructed fork tip view. Angled out they can increase the fork spread when needed to pick up loads with a wider center to center, such as containers with fork pockets wider than the carriage.

In addition to the sizes offered we can also offer options to the standard Fork Extensions reinforced design (3000 lb cap), pin locks, and super duty construction.

Fork Extension Channels

Our Fork Extensions offering is based on Extensions made with Structural "C" channel creating a more durable Extension due to the thicker legs. Many bargain brands use roll formed channels which may not hold up as well.

Metric fork sizes

Forklift Forks are made to metric equivalents, hence 

4" fork is 100mm (3.94")

5" fork is 122mm (4.80")

6" fork is 150mm (5.91")

7" fork is 180mm (7.08")

8" fork is 200mm (7.87")

We take this into account when designing forklift accessories.

Genie Grip Mats tip

The tip of the Genie Grip Mats includes a steel insert that includes rubber on the tip of the fork cover. This is in contrast to the magnetic, Gekko, and similar fork mitigating products.

Telescoping Forks

The Standard Telescoping Forklift Forks maintain the truck capacity by design, note class 2 at 5500 lbs @ 24" load center and similar results for class 3 and class 4 mountings. These suggest they are limited by the capacity of the mounting hooks, just like regular forks.

GenieGrip Mats Thickness

GenieGrip®Mats are approx 9/16" thick from top of the fork to the upper horizontal surface. Say you have a 2" thick fork, now your opening should be 3.75" or greater. It is strongly recommended to give your forklift operators more room than the minimum. GenieGrips® Mats are unforgiving in this manner.

Polyurethane temperature ranges

Typically the operating temperature for Polyurethanes ranges from -80 degrees to 200 degrees Fahrenheit. These are general industry standards and should be adjusted based on your application.  Temps at the high end can cause the material to weaken, revert to a sticky form, and/or may burn. On the other end below 0 degrees can harden the material and temps below -80 degrees can make it shatterable.
