Holes in Forks

According to Cascade Corp:

A hole up to and including 025.4 mm* (1 inch) can be provided by the manufacturer centrally in the tip area as directed in the diagram below. Countersunk top and bottom of hole to remove all sharp edges, is provided.

When a hook or similar lifting devise is suspended from this hole, the new load at this "hole" Forklift Load Center must be established.

The hole or any assembly in the hole must not be used for pushing or pulling. A fork is an attachment that is designed for lifting and lowering only. Vehicles such as tractors are better suited to pushing and pulling applications.

Tip loading or prying with the tip (with a hole) is prohibited.

* Holes larger than 025.4 will be considered if design conditions permit.
