Load Position

by Ken Welch on 2007-02-12 09:24:12 - Email This

The position of a load or an attachment on the forks or carriage of a forklift effect the net capacity of the total package. Most forklifts are considered counterbalanced units, hence the position of the load or attachment relative to the balance point effect the net capacity. Designers base the units capacity under the assumption the load will be positioned right up against the face of the forks. The heel of the fork is also it's strongest point.
